Emm... from what I was taught it was a case of worship and love god or burn and suffer torment in hell for the rest of eternity, i.e. love and worship me or else. How is that not forced love?

I cant say I'm totally convinced that it's all us. We certainly are not helping the situation and our total reliance on fossil fuels is a bit short-sighted but I think the Earth is going through a change as it has done on many other occasions in the distant past.
