Starting on May 6th Paul Gill is walking from Mizen head to Malin head to protest the recent blasphemy law and highlight the need to vote in favour of the deletion of the blasphemy clause from the Irish constitution in the promised referendum. If you live on or near the route and can help please con...

Re: CALLING ALL UNIVERSITY OF LIMERICK, ATHEISTS, AGNOSTICS etc.

There's a Mid-west Humanists/Atheist Ireland meeting at 8pm on the 10th Nov. In the Castletroy Park Hotel.

There's also a Limerick meet up group at http://www.meetup.com/Atheist-Ireland-in-Limerick/

Might be a good place to start building a UL group.

I'd love to debate someone like John Waters, I listened to him debating Cormac from CountMeOut and was practically shouting at the PC :-) As for Dawkins' argument that if you lived a good life a c...

Mid-west Humanists - February Meeting

Despite the title of this topic we won't be having a meeting February. We wanted to do something to mark Darwin Day so we have planned a trip to the Burren. Anyone interested should be in the underground carpark across from the Castletroy Park Hotel at 11.00 on Sunday the 15th . Rather than everyone...

Re: Bus slogan

I signed up on 13th Jan for Google AdWords and set up four ads for www.midwesthumanists.com

Unfortunately and despite contacting Google twice these still aren't running. If you want to hold off for the moment, once our ads start to run I can let you know how effective they are.

Re: Bus slogan

I'm glad people like the slogan. I suppose I was thinking of science as a sub-set of reason. In the same way I didn't list compassion because I thought that was covered my love. How about - Love & Compassion. Reason & Science. Art & Music. These are the things that make us human. Nothing Supernatura...

Re: Bus slogan

Why?" A shorter option might be, "There are no gods. There is nothin...
