Re: Atheist Ireland starting community outreach group
Great idea! Perhaps getting leaflets to the general /psychiatric hospitals is a start, the legion of Mary is rife in psych hospitals and a secular option should be there!

A large Yellow sign saying Jesus died for you and if you believe you will be saved(if memory serves) is on display around platform 6, What an insult to children of perhaps muslim/ atheist parents etc. I wro...

Re: New logo and website banner

Replace a religion in a blaspheme sentence for a political party to get a reaction! E.g. that is a catholic child=that is a fianna fail child= Its wrong to label children. Theyl decide when theyr old enough!

Re: Radio/TV interviews this weekend (9-10 Jan)
Loved the global village show on Saturday- thought it was too one sided tho! Best advertisement for atheism is having a religious delusional stutter and paraphrase when faced with reality! The song was hilarious but it was b4 the watershed and was a bit out of order in fairness! The presenter didn't...

To get a teaching job- you must believe in god!

The man ( in reply to the question "Do teachers have to believe in God to get a job in your school?")admitted that in the interview process, teachers must follow the ethos of the sch...

Re: Psychiatric hospitals in Ireland
Its well known that alot of psychiatric hospitals were used the same ways as the laundries with pregnant women being sent there and often ended up staying and raising their children there( St Ita's Portrane for 1). As far as abuse goes i sincerely doubt it mainly because of the fact that Nurses ran ...

Re: Evolution in Ireland
Thanks- Amazing that since the last glaciation-12000 years ago iirc species haven't changed much compared to english cousins. Then again sometimes change is fast sometimes slow-i.e. millions of years!
