Re: 9/11
Iwas in Jeddah - Saudi Arabia, when I saw it on Sky news acouple of hours after it happened - I phoned my brother in Dubai who was one of the project managers on the Emirates Towers - to tell hime his towers were no longer second tallest! The overwhelming feeling of Saudis at my workplace was that o...

Fair point Funky!
Thanks Tulip - I think 3. refers specifically to egoism/individualism, and Russell must be referring to a particular person, as an aversion to uniformity and organisation are not common in social anarchism. The rest of course is spot on!

With all due respect Feardorcha, you have engaged with me, even with my meaningless post, not that it was ever my intention to make adiscussion out of my original post. The thread has developed because funkyderek answered my post because he wa aggrieved at what I had posted (a wee bit at any rate!)....

On a practical note. IQ is a measured test as you're probably aware. You can train your IQ by taking IQ tests, there are plenty online. You can always buy IQ test books on ebay. As you get used to doing the puzzles you'll find your score improves over relatively little time. You could listen to Moza...

Re: Identifying with a Sport and Nationalism are just as irratio
The question reminds me of the opening of Roy Keane's autobiograpy - includes subjects of sport and nationalism and religion!!! :) "Irish by birth, Cork by the grace of God" :D Now if there really were a god she would have just called Ireland Cork from the getgo and sort out all those silly misgivin...

Re: Late Late Show
I have to say that ppl Tweeting during the show were for the most part agressive, narrow-minded and plain nasty towards the subject and the individuals on the side of the couple being interviewed. Not really a surprise from our Universalist catholic fellow citizens. Also the intro Tubs gave before t...

Re: atheist tea partiers/ weird combo
"Anarchists oppose the idea that power and domination are necessary for society, and instead advocate more co-operative, anti-hierarchical forms of social, political and economic organization." Wiki. There is no "redefinition" of anarchism in my post. Oppose idea of power and domination = Freedom. A...

Re: atheist tea partiers/ weird combo
redefining the word to mean "being nice" except I haven't made any such redefinition - and I made no mention or reference to "being nice". Nor have I "claimed" anyone. But my point still stands that a desire for freedom and an altruistic and empathetic attitude to fellow humans is very much the eth...
