Re: facebook
Unfortunately that is almost unavoidable. It happens everywhere where people feel ineffectual or helpless in the face of a greater enemy. I see the same "Catholic Bashing" and horrific bile surfacing on Boards, Politics.ie, City Data, the IGI forum and much more. There was a lot of it on this forum ...

Re: Members Area - Joining Atheist Ireland
^ Try now it should be ok. Just a general note - something in PayPal appears to have been changed since we purchased our Membership Management Software. This means some people who are registering with PayPal are not getting automatically added to our system and are being processed Manually by me. I ...

Re: Woman Miscarries, Charged with Murder.
I think Jerry is getting confused with the girl the article was inspired by... Rennie Gibbs... and a woman mentioned later in the article who did indeed attempt suicide, give birth, but lose the baby some days later. Perhaps he read the news a year ago when the thread was started, only got around to...

Re: What Would You Do?
I too would base the decision on looking at the schools and deciding based on whichever one offered the better education. I would worry about dealing with the hang ups and social pettyness of the other people there later.

Nope. Not the claims people were making on the thread at all. Try again.
Hint: Before trying again learn the difference between:
1) Saying X never do Y
2) Saying X are not predisposed to do Y significantly more often than anyone else.

Re: The Naked Emperor - Why Religion is Bollocks.
Not sure what "one of your own" means in this context. I do not lend people extra credence or extra lee way merely because they are part of some arbitrary grouping or other than I am also part of. IF the book is good, it is good and we should say so. IF the book is poor then it is poor and we should...

Re: Religious advertisement in Connolly station Dublin
Not just back up claims with evidence but also to adhere to certain rules of decorum and law too. I have not seen the ad myself but I have seen SOME ads that threaten hell and damnation. As far as I know there are laws against using threats to sell your product. There have been times I have wondered...
