Yep, that nice lady Myrtle Ewing performed our wedding - good to see her out there in front of the public with some good PR for the non-religious alternatives :)

Re: Indoctrination free education in the North

Hi Scatha, I know where you're coming from :) My wife and I got involved in the campaign to set up an integrated primary school in our area (near Moira) over the last few years. The only schools near us were denominational, and to me, having an integrated school to send our daughter to, while less t...

Good luck to you in your efforts to make the religious see the blindingly obvious :D To my mind, that quote starts off with an assertion that can be demonstrated to be false with examples easily understood by the average listener: "Mature belief in God serves greatly to guide the acquisition and pro...

Mervyn Storey at it again...

DUP MLA for North Antrim Mervyn Storey has been demanding "equal treatment" for creationism again - this time at the Ulster Museum in Belfast. He wants the museum to "balance out" an upcoming exhibition on evolution & fossils with "a creationist exhibition to be run alongside which explains the orig...

Just filed the following complaint with the Press Ombudsman arguing breach of Principle 8 of the Code of Practice: In her article, Mary Kenny makes the following statements "I've never yet met an atheist with a sense of joie-de-vivre (unless, in the case of one well-known public atheist, a certain d...

Thanks for the pointers to the ombudsman's site. I just filed my own complaint based on breach of Principle 8 of the Code of Practice. I didn't mention the factual errors as I couldn't be arsed doing the research on the actual facts of the bus slogan campaign, much like Mary Kenny herself :)

It's not just yours it's one of a long line of those who went before you. On it's own it's the strongest of 350 million sperm and if ...
