Re: Trócaire boxes

Personally. I'd send it back. There are other non-religious organisations that can be supported. It reminds me of the Easter Dues boxes sent out to the house when I was growing up. Re: Good Friday: Remove proabition on Alcohol Campaign.

I haven't taken a drink for 18 years, but I would gladly support a persons right to take a drink on Good Friday. It pisses me off the control of the RC church in matters like these. Re: Atheist Ireland publishes 25 blasphemous quotes

A spokesman for the Department of Justice said that Ahern did not “have the luxury of time to deal with some crackpot sitting in an attic somewhere sending around quotes that are intended to be blasphemous. A spokesman for the Department of Justice said that Ahern did not “have the luxury of time to deal with some crackpot sitting in an attic somewhere sending around quotes that are intended to be blasphemous. I would suggest this person spend ¤5 on a copy of Bunreacht na hEireann, which contains the ...

Embassy to Holy See gets €1.4m refurb

This just in:

I can't believe what I'm reading. This is further proof - if it were needed - of Church/state cosy relationship in Ireland.

Some schools take a teachers meeting/training day instead. That's what they have done at my daughters secondary school anyway.

Having just defected, I can tell him that I don't feel one bit lonely. He's clearly playing on peoples fears.
