Re: The most horrifying religious massacre in 20th century

Dear Patrick, Jesus didn't say anything. Ever. This is because Jesus didn't exist. He was a construct of a roman / jewish cult in second century Rome. If you can find any contemporary text from the supposed time of Jesus that names and describes him or his teachings then you should publish it, you'l...

Eh, it's not as if they have anything else to do. Might as well let 'em have at it. Apart from the 632 soldiers currently on missions stopping people killing each other in Chad and Kosovo I can't believe these relic things are even allowed to travel, surely they represent some kind of biohazard. It...

Re: The root of all evil

Well that letter was published... http://www.independent.ie/opinion/letters/faith-restored-by-rte-programme-1595253.html Good letter James, the Indo seem to publish many more anti religious letters than the supposedly more liberal Irish Times. Maybe I'm just sore because the Irish Times never print...

I'm not sure there is such a thing as Islamophobia. Its a PC term to describe people like Sam Harris who have the guts to stand up and condemn those who would murder, mutilate and maim in the name of Allah. I agree, I hate Islam because of the harm it does. Same goes for Christianity. I don't think...

Hi Inedifix, Just had a read of the whole thread. You make some very well phrased arguments and have an admirable amount of patience. However, surely yer man Redmond is a troll? Having read most of his posts he seems to be making it up as he goes along like the stenvolt characterr ( I'm guessing he'...

I don't believe in aliens so a one minute ad for scientology before the news wouldn't offend me. So you wouldn't object to a Fianna Fail minister passing a bill that allows the government to take money from you ( on pain of a massive fine or even jail as they are so fond of telling us) and to use a...

Matt Cooper on schooling and faith

Both Matt Cooper and Liam Fay had a go at the bishops in this week's Sunday Times http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/ireland/article4640887.ece Emboldened perhaps by the weakness of the political establishment in the wake of the Lisbon referendum and the distraction caused by the imploding ...
