I read that too. Nonsensical drivel. He bangs on about the origins of the words truth and belief and tries to construct some kind of hilarious argument that all atheism is is a denial of the truth of humanity or some such rubbish. there seems to be a lot of this floating around in the Irish Times th...

Great, I've spent the last few years avoiding videos of people having their heads cut off with a knife but there it is halfway through. Thanks Wilders.

is cowan a craven catholic too? More importantly does Cowen think that having a pope worshiping, fairy following witch in charge of educating our children is a good idea? It'll be fun watching the unseemly scramble to get in with 'da new bossman' by all those 'keep your head down and do nothing' mi...

McGrath is such a dick....I'm sorry, there's no other way of describing him. Just watched the debate. I've never heard anyone use so many words to say so little. He never answers any points and his evasions are painful waffle. Of local interest, I can't abide people who slag off their country of ori...

Re: Is it ever to late?

I think people of a certain age find it very hard t...

I plan on getting slightly drunk and watchng rugby. I like days off no matter what mental belief system they come from. The Irish times devoted a whole page of their opinion section to Waters and some other nutjob attacking secularism. The other guy even suggested that having an established state ch...

Re: Offensive to the religious majority. Why does it need to

Hi Gav, The catholic church, and lets face it, thats the largest obstacle to a TRUE educational system DOES NOT HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR but there is no reason to be disrespectful. I would say there is no reason to be respectful, respect is earned by one's actions not longevity However mocking religio...

I believe morality/ethics are evolutionary traits. Most people have a certain empathy for others and as such have no wish to see harm done to another person. While these traits are real and part of inherited human behaviour that does not mean they cannot be overcome like other evolutionary behaviour...
