Re: Riots in Greece

This is a debate about how religious zealots can organise a riot when they perceive an insult to their god or holy book and it is exactly the thing we in Ireland will be on the receiving end of very shortly, helped by the blasphemy law. If that is the debate you're having, then fair enough. However...

Re: Abortion, my thoughts on

Smiffy: I don't think incubator and womb can be substituted in the manner you suggest, as an incubator is not a part of a nurse's body What about a surrogate mother? If a couple pay some money to a woman to "incubate" their blastocyst, should that surrogate mother have the "right" to kill their 5 m...

Re: How do I tell my family?

Considering what just happend with half the country waking up to the child rape of the merchants of god this might not be a bad time to let people know exactly why you don't believe in the CCL. Keep in mind that does'nt have to involve burning your bridges. There's no harm in leaving the house to k...

Re: Atheism is a religion in the U.S.A

Funny about this heart business. As far as I was aware, the brain was the organ most concerned with thinking. Why on earth would any self-respecting deity write commands on an organ whose purpose is just to pump blood around the place? Seems like a waste of time, to me.

Re: Atheists attempt assimilation of Christian Virtues

What sebastian means, CH, is obviously that the puppy of atheism has stolen the carrot of morality from the bunny of Christianity! ...which is definitely not an excuse to post this. Oh no. http://imagecache.allposters.com/images/pic/NPLPOD/1148425~Yellow-Labrador-Retriever-Puppy-with-Squeaky-Toy-Car...

Re: Atheists attempt assimilation of Christian Virtues

I have literally a ton of original incantations for this forum although the moderator requested that my posts be attributed to sources so I have complied. Do you have any thoughts to add that may be considered Holy or have you lost all sense of Holiness now that you have digressed into thoughtlessn...

Re: Ratzinger claims condoms would worsen African AIDS crisis

Worst-case condom barrier effectiveness (fluid transfer prevention), however, is shown to be at least 10(4) times better than not using a condom at all, suggesting that condom use substantially reduces but does not eliminate the risk of HIV transmission. Thank you for making our point for us. See h...
