It's the product of a compartmentalised mindset...... I was actually asked which I'd like to be classed as
Human communication is a very rickety rope bridge between minds. Its too narrow to allow but a few thoughts to cross at a time. Many are lost in the chasms of noise, suspicion, misinterpretation and shooting the message through dislike of the messenger.

You're not all as odd as I thought.

I'm Michael G, the moderator of the Irish Catholics board. I have just registered and have read this thread with great interest. I have to admit that I thought you were all head-bangers like Dawkins and Hitchens and that mad Toynbee bird in the Guardian with the angry moist little eyes, but I was wrong. I'm glad some of you are active in the Irish Catholics board. At present we seem to consist of a strange mix of atheists and tradtional Catholics (i.e. Latin Mass) but I'm planning to put some ads in mainstream papers in the hope of getting in some new Catholic members with other points of view iand getting a wider membership (even though I loathe, despise and detest the Vatican II lot – you are not the only ones who believe you have intellectual inferiors – and will attack any who join).

By the way I like your software. What is it (assuming you don't mind sharing technical information with the sky-fairy people)?

Eeeek I would like to distance myself from this comment. At no point would I automatically consider any theist an intellectual inferior. It is possible for someone to be many times your intellectual superior and still be wrong about certain things.

Some theists are far superior than I, some not. This does not make my position, or theirs, any more correct or incorrect. We must debate the facts, not demur to people simply because they are superior in some ways, or some areas.

You yourself Michael may indeed be many times my intellectual superior... I do not know you well enough to say. I still feel you are wrong about certain things. The guy on your site who believes the fertilised egg actually contains legs and a heart, while also believing himself to be a comedian, ex war hero, millionaire AND a medical scientist would be, for example, an inferior, not just to me but to the average 12 year old student in the average 1st year of the average Irish school. I would, with no holds barred, call him an embarrassment to your site and to the community of your faith.

You can find out more about it here

I agree it is one of the more user-friendly varieties.

Hi Michael, and welcome to our forum. The membership area software is Profile Manager Premium which costs about $200 and this is integrated with a phpBB forum which is free.

Yep...when it comes to science and advanced technical stuff ya just can't beat heretics! If the believers had followed their leaders and ignored everything the heretics have invented they'd be trying to contact this site with carrier pidgeons
