how about a stage 2 faq just to make them aware they may be asked to meet the bishop just to reassure people they can say no to the meeting etc

im sure a count of the number of people who email you back saying the process has been completed would be enough and spur on others especially if some, the first defection aided by the site will be great to see.

We're working on updating the FAQ at present. Please understand that the 3 of us are doing this on a volunteer basis and so it can take a little longer to get things done. As for counting the amount of email responses: I don't think that would work either. We can never be sure that all the people who complete the process would let us know about it. Again, I think church stats would be the best way of establishing this.

Hi Paul, thanks for coming over. Congratulations for all you have done so far, not least of which is how effortlessly eloquent and pleasant you all have remained through some fairly trying interviews.

The Count Me Out site is being mirrored at http://catholic.ie/ too, in continuance of its (in)appropriate sense of humour. [For the benefit of our own members who might not know]

Another soul who enjoys being offended on behalf of other people, even though he is now protesting that he isn't. I'm interested that everyone else in that thread disagrees with him.

On the subject of domain names, I recently read an article that suggests the actual domain name is losing importance now that search engines are smarter at matching site content to keywords.

I mean, if you do a google search for "Catholic" + "Ireland" www.catholic.ie is not one of the first sites on the list, in fact its not even on the first page.

I've complained to the IEDR about lecraic.ie. Craic is supposed to be about having fun not complaining and moaning.
Human communication is a very rickety rope bridge between minds. Its too narrow to allow but a few thoughts to cross at a time. Many are lost in the chasms of noise, suspicion, misinterpretation and shooting the message through dislike of the messenger.

yes im sure your busy with work and its amazing how many interviews you've done, but i it would think be clearer to show the two numbers forms filled and defections completed, even if not everyone emails you back its the more interesting number and will encourage others to complete and email you...etc etc

smug christian vs reasonable atheist paul

bit fruitless as they were having two different discussions, paul stuck to the countmeout aim, 'salvation man' went off everywhere including anti-evolution
