Jehovah's Wittnesses

Post by Buzz » Mon Nov 01, 2010 6:20 am

These people are a menace.

They have 100% the rate of mental illness than the general rate of the community.

They have a 300% greater rate of Schizophrenia than the general rate of the community.

They have a 400% greater rate of Paranoid Schizophrenia than the general rate of the community.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are a clear and present danger to the public, schizophrenics are dangerous people and laws should be passed to stop them going door to door spreading their lunacy.

yes I have a source, several in fact

Correlation does not mean causation.

To say all schizophrenic people are dangerous is a ridiculous generalisation that serves to further stigmatise people with mental illness.

If I were schizophrenic, I'd have only one response to your post. Fuck you.

+1. Schizophrenia is an illness - I think it is now called bi-polar disorder - and should be treated as are all illnesses.

If I were a schizophrenic, I'd probably have 2 responses.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Anyway as someone who has suffered from mental illness the OP doesn't really offend me that much but he's a bit off in his assumptions. I would agree though that the heavily religious are mentally ill, but it's not schizophrenia, it's addiction. I wrote about it here and here if anyone is interested.
Humans are an intelligent species. We just aren't smart enough to realise how stupid we are.

Wouldn't life be great if the 8 hours spent in bed were as long as the 8 hours spent in work.

How do you know that they are mentally ill?

Bi-polar is what's sometimes (used to be) called manic depression. Schizophrenia is different, but definitely a clinical mental illness.
