I wonder if all the ould wans that were screaming that their religious freedom was encroached upon (by making priests report child abuse heard in confession ) will be crying out in support of these two parents who would let their child die on religious grounds

ah but they are not Catholics -so they probably don't count

This isn't the first time that the Coombe has had to approach the High Court to protect an infant from its parents. Apart from the cost to the hospital of paying a barrister etc, one day they are going to be too late.
The law should be changed to allow the hospital to proceed with whatever is needed to save a life and these parents should be investigated by child protective services.
