Just saw this advertised on TV, great to see RD will be recieving such prominence at their event while he is here in Ireland.

Also nice to see him being called an Ethnologist rather than Atheist.

He's being interviewed by Kevin Myers for it. Ugh.

Oh well, there goes a potentially interesting conversation.

Myers isn't stupid by a long shot; but his column is all about generating calculated maximum controversy usually by being obnoxious or offensive or just plain ignorant. However, being controversial isn't the same as being interesting. He's just not worth reading any more.

It'll degenerate into Dawkins' last Late Late appearance if Myers starts that "evolution is faith" bull he was rambling on about a few months ago. Show of hands, who believes in Darwin?

I was in Listowel today, at the bookshop in the writers at the Writer's Museum, Where I purchased A Devil's chaplain by Dawkins. It was on a shelf of featured writers and I said to the assistant who took my money that it uinusual to have him him as a featured writer, and she mentione that she was in town. I can't believe (no pun intended) that I missed him.

Myers just rambled on not letting Dawkins talk and only asked even slightly challenging questions in the last five minutes. Dawkins said he only read Myers woeful article on evolution (below) after the interview which is a shame. I suppose at least Myers wasn't barracking him...

I'm never going to forgive, Atheist Ireland, my participation in this forum has lead me to reading some of Myers pieces. Of course I still won't pay money for any newspaper who let's such an individual write for them.
