As a former resident of Texas, I feel I must apologise for Rick Perry. If it makes anyone feel better, not everyone in Texas is crazy. Unfortunately, Texas is a large state with a huge rural population - you know how that goes. There are still a few million Texans fully aware of what a basket-case he is; and if you think this kind of stuff is bad, you should see the more everyday tasks on his agenda, like his apparent vendetta against the education budget.
