Unbelievable because it wasn't really true. The ACA didn't turn down the money because it came from an atheist group. They had changed how they organised their national partnership scheme, and thus what status the atheist group would receive for the donation and didn't explain that properly to the atheists. The atheist group promptly and publicly went off the deep end and wouldn't climb down after the situation was made clear, keeping up a mantra-like repetition about anti-atheist hate. It was all rather tedious and hysterical in the end and of as much value to the atheist movement as elevatorgate.
