Enda & Benny face-off

Post by aZerogodist » Fri Sep 21, 2012 11:51 am

Enda Kenny will be in Rome over the next few days, it will be the first time coming face to face with the pope, since his famous speech.
During the course of the speech, Mr Kenny was scathing of what he described as “the dysfunction, the disconnection, the elitism that dominates the Vatican today”.

The Vatican responded to the claims made by Mr Kenny, describing them as “unfounded”.

I assume it will be a dignified and uneventfull meeting & won't come to blows (punches)
As FG has a bit of a catholic-wing, I wonder if there's an slight internal strugle within the party, & with Enda being a Catholic Christian as to how they deal with Rome's church in Ireland.

In the Green corner the Celtic Chief of the Fine Gael clan, In the Yellow corner the king of the Vatican empire. ...if only!

Good article here about the Vatican state. I was quite surprised to see that it was written by a retired priest as it is very critical of Herr Papas little fiefdom.

He's getting stick for checking his phone during benny's speech. He didn't join in the clapping at the end because he was still at the phone.
