If this is true then I’d properly vote labour next time - at the moment I’m one of those swing voters.
The church complains of persecution when it's not allowed to persecute.

Ruairi Quinn TD, Labour Party Education Spokesperson, has called for the state to be given ownership of all 3,200 primary schools in the state, as the Church has only paid €128 million towards the €1.1 billion cost of compensating sex abuse victims.

Very true, any deal would depend on the Dáil's approval and we know who rules there...
