Indeed I will but what is the point of it?
Is he really fucking Matt Damon?
Is he telling us he, and Matt Damon, are homosexuals and lovers?
Is fucking used as an emphatic and he is telling us that he is really Mall Damon?
Is there some relevance to blasphemy that escapes me?
WHAT is the point of it?

if, somehow, by a flaming miracle of jesus the wanker, i mean carpenter, proportions, they manage to get this ridiculous law through, I suggest that all the members of AI and the HAI and as many groups of atheists as we can find get together and bring up the muslim, christian and jewish religions on charges of blasphemy on the basis that a (2) significant proportion of atheists and humanists are (1) grossly offended by the public teachings of these religions, who are (3) commanded by their holy books to spread the word of these faiths and attempt to convert us.

(1) - dealing with the grossly abusive or offensive hurdle
(2) - dealing with the significant number of adherents
(3) - dealing with the intent of causing offense

If the new law dose pass i simply dont see how it can be enforced. "GOD" dose not refer specifically to the christian god. In order to enforce the law they will have to define god! What god, who's god. There have been thousands of gods down the years, just because someone says "god dam it", where is the evidence that that they were referring to a specific god/gods. They also dont seem to realize that simply by practicing religion they are blaspheming other religions who reject their claims.

Also its only a matter of time before the good old creationists start up here, than no one can counter their claims as it be deemed blasphemous. They can spout all the falsehoods they like and not a word can be uttered about it. And on that would all science be blasphemous, as it counters the biblical claims of creation, talking snakes and the like.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had the inititive to perhaps go out and interview the general public about such a law and their opinions on if it should or should not be implemented.

In the next while I'm going to be heading out into my local areas with a few questions to ask members of the public their opinions on it, including priests, pastors, people of different faiths, people of no faith and if they will respond, members of the gardi.

Then I shall be comprising them into a video and uploading them to my Youtube channel.

Anyone got any opinions or ideas for questions or can otherwise comment on this idea?

Council of Europe lawyers oppose blasphemy laws

Dermot Ahern says that he is forced to revive the crime of blasphemy because of legal advice from the Attorney General. But independent legal advisors to the Council of Europe have advised that the offence of blasphemy should be abolished throughout Europe, in a report co-written by the Director General of the Irish Office of the Attorney General.

Why are we using the headline "Blasphemy is a victimless crime"? That statement appears to concede that blasphemy is a crime of some sort.

Ben, It is a play on words. In normal usage, blasphemy means insulting a god, so the slogan is saying that gods do not exist.
