First Proposed Irish Atheists Group meeting booked.

Post by FXR » Wed Nov 05, 2008 2:35 pm

Sunday 30th November 4pm to 7pm.
Central Hotel
Exchequer St Dublin 2

Exchequer St is just off South Great Geroges St.

or walking away from Trinity College on the left side of Dame St. just before the third set of traffic lights there is a mosaic on the pavement for the Stags Head. Turn left into the narrow alley way and the Central Hotel is on the end of the block on the right. (no its not an ambush for your membership fee)

Alternatively if you walk up Grafton St and and turn right into Wicklow St. (opposite McDonalds) and walk straight on for 600 meters the Central Hotel is the last building on the right when you reach the T juncition with South Great Georges Street.
Human communication is a very rickety rope bridge between minds. Its too narrow to allow but a few thoughts to cross at a time. Many are lost in the chasms of noise, suspicion, misinterpretation and shooting the message through dislike of the messenger.

Thanks for the info FXR,

Voted 'would love to but I'm outside of Dublin' but still might be able to make it as I don't think I have much on the following day, but transport could be a problem.

But either way I hope there's a good turnout.

Oh and thanks for the map Dez

It sounds like it'll be a lively meeting but I'm currently in good old pagan England where the fireworks are going off tonight and politics hasn't changed, nor religion much, since Guy Fawkes day...

perhaps someone would take minutes of a kind-main opinions, topics, issues raised et al and post them back on here for a sizzle-fest!

Just wondering (even though id love to join)

Is it going to be called the Atheist Association or like The Secular Association.
Like, is its point to systematically remove the church for state affairs and have a final church state seperation and how to go about this

or is it just so atheists can meet up o.0

it could of already been answered but eh >_<...i can't read any more .. too much college reading this week.
