@ Rogan, Thanks!
Pope says atheists pick & choose their morals. Correct. Today I will be frowning on child abuse & not having a problem with homosexuality.

Tulip1, you're an absolute inspiration!

This is *such* an important issue and one which I will be facing in a couple of years time with my own kid due to start Primary school then.

Keep up the good work!

You should send a copy of that e-mail to the Irish Human Rights Commission. I would also consider sending it to your local paper.

Why? Would that serve any purpose?

Got an email and other card as well. The card however was signed with address and I nicely replied to that?

The purpose is that it is an incidence of racism.

It also shows the Commission clearly what minorities have to put up with when they speak out about their human rights in the education system.

It is no wonder that there is a climate of fear about speaking out on these issues. What horrible people.

We had to laugh at the Bigot and F off to holland bit... we thought it was really funny!

And what is a planter???

It said: you bigoted dutch planter

But if you think it serves a purpose I will forward it to the human rights commission.

A planter is a pointed stick for planting tulips.

It is also a term for descendants of 16th-century colonists who were given land from which the natives were 'cleared'.
