LOL I just don't like red and green together. Can you not make it the orange of the Irish flag?
Pope says atheists pick & choose their morals. Correct. Today I will be frowning on child abuse & not having a problem with homosexuality.

I read this thread with interest and then clicked the link to view the new logo. I think it is very poor - the old one is much better.

The idea of a map of Ireland does not come across at all.

The letter A is very weak and 'leaks' off the edges of the logo.

The green colour is too dark to be associated with the Irish green.

I do not think that it is a good idea to stress the Irish/national aspect of the organisation. We should be inclusive of all enlightened cultures and traditions; unfortunately, our Irish culture does not always bring thoughts of progressive, inclusive, rationalist, enlightened or empiricist ideas.

I hope that you consult further with a good graphic designer. Or even an architect or printer who understands lettering. There are lots about.

Apologies if you have already consulted with a graphic designer. Just my 2 cents.....

Loving the new logo!

Post by robdonn » Tue Mar 13, 2012 2:51 am

I am slightly ashamed of how long its been since I've actually visited the site, normally I just receive all the news through RSS. But I have to say that I love the abstract logo on the front page. It reminds me of the London 2012 Olympics logo. I just had to have a go at animating it. Maybe it could be used for YouTube videos?

It looks really good on the front page, completely transforms it.

It seems to look like a bit too abstract, The logo should make someone ask what does that mean/stand for. However A.I. just reminds me of Artificial intelligence. That looks like a shape to me? Nice shade of Green!

Thanks to everyone who gave input during the evolution of the logo.

It has had its first outing on our lobbying document to all TDs and Senators on 5 steps to civil rights in a secular Ireland.

Will take a bit of getting use to but I like the abstractness.

I like, snappy and short, do you think you might do any further animating or happy to use as is?
