Dear Santa...

As yet I have not found a single case of a terrestrial animal which fertilises itself.

I will definitely be buying this book for my son.
Religion propagates by twisting honestly curious and open but impressionable young minds. How often have you learned as an adult that some cherished received wisdom you picked up as a child was rubbish - a false wisdom that never would have been accepted if you had first heard it as an adult?
Helping children to find the path to truth is one of the most noble causes there is.

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins the movie by telling you how it ends. Well, I say there are some things we don't want to know. Important things. - Ned Flanders

I wish I had someone to give this to. If I gave it to my 14-year-old cousin it would probably bring about the apocalypse. Maybe I'll just buy a stack and donate to the Portlaoise Library.

I got a copy and tried it on my nine-year old. He's very interested in dinosaurs and planets and Lego but this book just didn't grab him. He said the illustrations were 'gross'.
I'll try it on the 15-year old and see - then I'll read it myself.
