Very funny.
But its a fairly good illustration of being careful about your sources of information. The caller probably accepted in good faith the arguments provided by some ID 'authority' and never bothered to think critically about it / check his sources.
Even more ironic is the fact that he actually had the text which he had quote-mined and hadn't bothered to read anything more than the line he had been pointed to.
In any case, the evolution of the eye has been so well illustrated at this point, that anyone insisting it 'couldn't' have happened deserves to be publicly humiliated.
