This seems to get more and more comical.
1) It seems clear the new moderator banned me but has been claiming he did not.
2) Then the new moderator claims to have banned me later than I was actually banned, but this is impossible as I was already banned. You can not in any way ban a banned user.
3) The new moderator has subjectively started deleting the posts he does not like and has openly declared he is and will continue to be doing this. So if the moderator doesn’t agree with what you have to say, off it goes.
4) 36 of the last 53 posts on the board are now the new moderator and nearly all cases they are the moderator replying to…. Other posts by himself. Essentially talking to himself.
This board could not be any more dead. Well done Michael G for killing it with one single decision. Good move.

Nozz:
What did you do to get banned? I have not tried to get myself banned yet like i did on "Catholic Answers" One of my recent posts on "Irish Catholics" is still there in spite of it's Atheist tone:

I am going to be the "Devil's Advocate" here. When I was educated at a Jesuit College in Melbourne, Australia we did Genesis and Exodus, not from an actual Bible because the only book of Scripture we had was the New Testament. I can't remember what we used for Genesis and Exodus. That for me seems centuries ago. It was in the 1950's
Even as a boy I could not believe anything in the Old Testament - the parts we did. Of course I had to believe, OR ELSE. I often wondered why we never did the whole of the Old Testament. We seemed to have the impression that the Bible was for Protestants. We knew nothing about the many versions of the Bible, especially the official Douay version.
Recently I read from Genesis to Kings II and now I think I know why we did not do them - the Genocide and Slaugther done by God, or under the orders of God.
We were made to believe the story of Adam and Eve was true - the Word of God. Now many Catholics do not believe they are true. What I would like to know is this. Why does the Roman Catholic Church still include the Old Testament Historical Books in the Bible especially in the light of the implication that humans bred throught incest - a Mortal Sin in in the eyes of the Church. I refer to the idea that Adam and Eve were the first Humans, had children and they inbred.
I could go on more. I must point out that I am now Atheist."
I suppose this Mod has not got to it yet. I have not been there for a while. I shall watch it with interest. I might even get myself banned - another Martydom!.

The Roman Catholic Church is not able to just like that exclude the OT from the bible.eccles wrote: We were made to believe the story of Adam and Eve was true - the Word of God. How could it be done? It would be against tradition, it would be self-destructive.
For example : Christ is only legitimated through the OT and its phrophecies

A true catholic was banned there the fifth time at January 11eccles wrote: I might even get myself banned - another Martydom!.
Michael is now banned and all his posts have been deleted.

He didn't ban you, but I may have done so inadvertently. Sorry if I did.nozzferrahhtoo wrote:This seems to get more and more comical.

Hibernicus has a lot to say, usually very interesting, so the forum is perhaps evolving (Catholics accept the theory of evolution) into something more like a blog. The rest of us are in a period of silent contemplation, though I break out now and then to post.

First he said he did not. Now he is saying he did. Make up your minds over there
Anyway, small correction here.... Hibernicus has little to say. He has a lot to copy and paste I think is what you mean

Re: Irish Catholic forum desends into madness
I haven’t been banned yet but then again I haven’t made a post since before the New Year. I think it was on the "Miracle in Lourdes" thread.
http://irishcatholics.proboards.com/ind ... 489&page=3
There’s a new sheriff in town over there boys and he’s got the good lord on his side apparently. My real concern is that the deleting of so many older posts will now make many of these threads nonsensical and unreadable.
Hibernicus does seem, however, to have taken a severe dislike to you Nozz. I think you were rubbing him up the wrong way even though the tone of your posts (IMO) was never rude. A lot of the things you challenged him on it seems he didn’t really have a satisfactory answer for. When you pointed this out to him, he really got frustrated.
It can be a bit irritating also when he copy’s and pastes so much text and addresses in the third person instead of other posters directly. He also seems to be unaware of paragraphs. A lot of the posts are large reams of text with no breaks which makes them harder to read.
However, I'll keep an eye on the board and see how things develop. He'll probably ban me soon too I suppose for not believing in "Big G". Hey ho.... that’s life I suppose.
Edit Note:
Adminstrator moved (and deleted muchch of) the thread so I put in new http location

I read somewhere that if the human population fell under 30,000 it would die out as there would not be enough genetic diversity left to suststain the popoulation.

Anyway, after his deleting of all posts from Michael many threads are ended up as not understandable and that makes the forum less interesting to read and therefore attracts even lesser new potential usersnozzferrahhtoo wrote: Anyway, small correction here.... Hibernicus is his own best poster in his forum, so lets call him from now on :

If you have something to say in the Micks-only section of the Irish Catholic forum, do it until 31 01 10 or else risk a Martyrdom a.k.a. ban there

Dear harris,
Thanks for your thoughts - however, I would remind you that this thread is in the Catholics Forum section which is meant to allow Catholics to discuss matters of mutual interest among themselves. If you want to respond to it, please do so in the Open Forum.
This is not a formal warning, because the distinction between Catholic Forum and Open Forum has not been enforced in the past so it would be unfair to enforce it straight away - but I am giving notice that I intend to enforce it in the future. After 31 January we will have the official position as stated by Michael G - non-Catholics posting in the Catholic fora will be warned the first time and banned the second (with some scope for leniency if I decide it was inadvertent).
Catholic posters are asked not to post DIRECT criticisms of/attacks on atheists and other non-Catholic posters in the Catholic threads unless they post them at the same time in the open forum, since it is unfair to attack them from a vantage-point where they cannot reply. If they do so, their posts may be moved to the open forum where the atheists etc can respond, as I did yesterday with the thread started by Loughcrew about the countmeout.ie website. Again, this will be enforced flexibly, bearing in mind that statements of Catholic views on certain topics necessarily involve INDIRECT criticism of non-Catholic standpoints, but the rules of fair discussion apply to Catholic posters as well - they do not have carte blanche.
I am copying this to the Housekeeping thread in the Open Forum - any further discussion should take place there.

Discrimination is still rife within the "Holy" Roman Catholic Church. It's THEM and us. Just like that big wall in heaven that Dave Allen talks about, behind which are the Roman Catholics. They think they are the only ones in heaven.
