The gay pride march in Dublin today had a record breaking turn out of 22,000, which is awesome. But I couldn't help but notice the Jebus statue in the middle of O'Connel st. WTF did that come from? Did I pay for it :?:

After reading that I had to do a little googling and found this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyIr8fPowR4
It's in sign language but it's paid for by the Taxi Drivers it seems

Unless this is the wrong one....

The ones in Dublin are mad religious – I got a taxi recently and there was a shrine on the dashboard.

That sounds about right. It's right near the taxi rank. There's a plaque on it but I was too far away to read it.

I wonder if it's a way of exerting their dominance over the foreign, non-christian drivers they're always complaining about.

The Abused Apostrophe is an awfully common error these days - probably it always was.
My pet hate at the moment is a local Cork taxi group who have decided they can drum up more trade for themselves by pasting horrible yellow stickers on their cars that proclaim proudly:

No extra's

I have to stop myself face-palming 'cos its beginning to leave a bruise.

JFC that's on the plaque? I nearly hyperventilated when I read that.

Wouldn't you think that whoever printed the plate would know better.

Only been twice in a taxi in Dublin but can't help thinking that they better could erect a statue for the people using the same roads as the taxi drivers.

Why don't we get one cut with the corrected grammar and present it to them :D

Just saw another one up the town street;
NO BICYCLE'S

Surely, the old classroom rhyme was; "if in doubt, leave it out".

I once saw a sign in a bakery that read "PANINI'S"

It's wrong on two levels. Firstly, the ' is obviously wrong but Panini is actually an Italian word. The plural is Panina.
