I wasn't sure if this should have gone into the Really True Believer thread or the humour one.

Hmmm.....are you sure you didn't watch too much Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

Its humorous right up to the point where you realise that very attractive 16 year old girls are being put into rooms with men much bigger and stronger than them who sometimes, in the words of one of them in the article, "get violent".

That their "reverend" is willingly putting girls like that in harms way for personal financial profit is criminal.

Having a demon within you is a tiring game. Sleeplessness, anxiety and headaches are common complaints, along with less subtle symptoms like levitation and a 360-degree spinning head

What planet are these people on?

Thing is exorcism or deliverance is getting big in the UK, the Susanna Read BBC show on Sunday last had an exorcist-Rev on, it's annoying to see the media giving this nonsense such credence.

The Reverend Bob Larson looks familiar, was he featured in Religulous or some other film or tv show?

I had to double-check to make sure this wasn't an article on The Onion.

This is horrific; they've taken young girls who potentially wish to do good and help people and instead of inspiring them to go to school to learn to be psychologists, counsellors or social workers, they're teaching them a lot of wishy-washy fairytales as if they're fact.

As for Harry Potter nullifying morality - yeah, it's awful that there's a bestselling series out there inspiring young adults to read and telling them a story about courage and standing up for what's right. All the references to history, parallels with modern culture and uses of Latin are really sucking the intelligence out of kids when they COULD be doing something productive like praying.

... I really can't believe it's not a joke. I'm trying so hard, but it's just so ridiculous.

you've probably seen him on various shows about exorcism, he's a massive profiteering opportuinist with exorcism, I wouldnt be surprised if you see him come out with a young exorcist reality tv show

That's it; I'm tormented by demons. Can I call out two of those ladies to deal with my obsession?
