Hi,
This is obviously off topic and may not be appropriate for this forum. If not and it's taken down, I fully understand.
I’m running my 1st marathon in Dublin on October 31st in aid of Special Olympics Ireland and I’d greatly appreciate even the smallest amount of support for this very worthy cause.
You’ll find a dedicated page for the run here:

Please pass the link on to anyone who you might think be interested.
I've picked this charity because it's close to my heart, I think they do great work and it's not directly associated with any particular religion and is not run by a religious order (something that's surprisingly difficult to find).
Many thanks.

Re: Dublin Marathon for Special Olympics
Update: 20k done throughout the week followed by a 26.8k run yesterday in 2 hrs 38 mins. I’m getting there, although the Heineken I had on Saturday night coupled with a 1am bedtime was not one of the better ideas I’ve had. Two more big runs left. A 29k run next weekend, followed by a 32k run the following weekend.
Thanks so much to all those who have donated, it’s very much appreciated. As mentioned, even the smallest of donations would be greatly appreciated and will spur me on in the final weeks of preparation as well of course as on the day!
If you'd rather make a donation some other way, just send me a messge.

Update:
32 kilometres completed today in 3 hours 18 minutes. That's the last of my big runs until the big day. Just over two weeks to go now. Thanks so much to all who have contributed. As mentioned, even the smallest of contributions would be greatly appreciated and will spur me on over the line.
Thanks again!

Folks,
I completed the marathon yesterday in 4 hours 51 minutes. I now can't walk up stairs! But it was an amazing experience.
I'm now approx. €100 short of my final target. If 10 people donate €10, I'll have reached my target. Can you spare €10?
The work these guys do is awe inspiring.
