Is there a way of making a paypal payment without using the "link a card to make instant payment". I dont have any card that paypal recognise, my laser card isnt good enough. I top up my paypal account with bank transfers.

Help much appreciated.

Hi Barny!!
Unfortunately that's the way PayPal operates, and one of the many drawbacks of using PayPal.
Once the website gets fully updated, we are going to change to another Payment Manager where Laser cards are accepted.
But for the moment the options are only PayPal and Cheques.

If you wish you can make a payment by cheque using our postal form

You will also find a printable application form at this link Image if you wish to join by cheque or postal order.

You could also PM me and I could give you our banking instructions where you can pop into any Bank of Ireland branch and lodge your membership fee, just send me on proof of payment - even a snap of the receipt taken from a camera phone will suffice.

Kind Regards
Steve Duggan

Welcome Bryon!

I see you don't have the badge next to your avatar, I'll have to chase that up for you!

Hello, just paid my fees (I hope) not a great fan of paypal as it keeps bumping the cards off for some reason, but perhaps its the best out there at the mo.

I used my banking address in the sign up section, can I change it to my residential address once I am officialy up and running?

Sorry to be a pain,

Two weeks ago I paid up to be a member of AI but have not been able to login. I have emailed but have not had a reply. Just wondering if anybody knows what the issue may be.

I'm afraid the chat room feature has been out of commission for the last few months.

Steve, that would be excellent, as I don't use paypal, I assume you will accommondate VISA as many banks have gone away from Laser.

No. It keeps saying login/password incorrect. I even tried the password reminder but it says that login name does not exist.
