Re: The Naked Emperor - Why Religion is Bollocks.

The way you people denigrate his work, you would think he was the enemy, when in fact he is on your side. I always speak up for the underdog, but it appears you like to put the boots in, even to one of your own. The put downs and superior attitude to a fellow atheist, who has gone to the effort of ...

Re: The Naked Emperor - Why Religion is Bollocks.

Nobody ever erected a monument to a critic. It takes years to build something but only a short time to wreck it. How many books have you written? I cannot find any of the books on Kindle mentioned by Feardorcha and I suspect he is a liar. They are silly titles anyway. The two people who gave it 5 s...

Re: Religious advertisement in Connolly station Dublin

An advert probably bought and paid for by a religious group, no different than if AI were to buy and pay for adspace, or if Cadbury's or Tayto were to --- am I the only one who, while annoyed by it, doesn't think it's right to request censorship? No, I'm with you. But I do think they should be subj...

I'm sure that in general you don't believe shotgun-wielding madmen who kill people should go free, but you seem to believe that this particular shotgun-wielding madman who killed someone should.

Re: Padraig Nally

Ward lived miles away so i doubt that scene could ever happen - however if he did -it would be more proof that he was not in his right mind surely ? it not a case of drawing the line -the question is-was the man acting rationally or not at the time - I'm fairly sure he was terrified out of his wits...

Re: Padraig Nally

Looking more at the case, a verdict of manslaughter seems fairer. I understand that Nally was terrified and mentally unbalanced due to past crimes - and the imagined threat of crimes - but there's nothing to indicate that Ward had any role in this.

Re: Padraig Nally

Seems like murder to me. Following someone on to a road and shooting them in the back is not self-defense.

Re: New logo and website banner

I think I prefer the new version. In my opinion, it needs to be tweaked slightly so that it's made up of three green rectangles and the angles are parallel to those of the A. I think that's the intention but at the moment it's slightly off. I also think the gap between Leinster and the North is a bi...

Re: New logo and website banner

I like it but it's a bit "fat". The proportions are wrong. Reducing the width by about 20% would resolve this. Also, I think the details of the curves are a bit off, especially Connaught. If we could tone down the "Mr. Blobby" / "jelly baby" look without losing the simplicity it could be very effect...
