Re: Not an atheist

Since I know you are keen that I give you answers to some of the more topical and controversial issues of the day, I'd better do so in case I get accused of cowardice. Re: VECs want greater admin role in state schools

Thanks for that Tulip. Pending approval from the Politburo of AI for this venture, we could collect the policies of the political parties and other organisations. With this in mind, I have found the old Campaign to Separate Church and State policy but have so far failed to find anything relevant in...

My general view is that religion should be very personal and you should keep and one should not impose it on anyone else. I'm really against any organised religion ...

Re: Not an atheist

Chesterton I'm very tired at the moment and I read your post, I will react on it later.

What is your view on state schools teaching (catholic) religion and even say prayers?

post later, really tired a long night due to a 4 month old and a long day.

Re: VECs want greater admin role in state schools

Latest report from my local VEC school spy. During Maths, the loudspeaker crackles and Seymour Skinner, the Principal (not his real name) comes on and introduces 'the school chaplain' who, of course is a Catholic priest. The Rev then gives a smarmy introduction and a 'little prayer' to help the fir...

Re: Not an atheist

My vision for society is one not really secular but more pluralist where we can all have our say, where secular views and religious freedoms are respected, laws made for the good of all of society with no special treatment for any one group, where moral issues can be agreed upon and not imposed by ...
