I think woman are more likely to keep a religion because most woman I know want to keep the peace and a family as a whole unit. Man are more risk taking and confrotational.

No never, not even a wee bit. My parents made a fuss at school to keep me out of the religion lessons and send me to secondary schools without a faith (much easier in holland then Ireland)

No we got it forced down our throath the second time round. Referendums are not binding in the Netherlands!

I know you didn't say the VVD was extreem right. It was matter of speech, the VVD and the PVDA are not that far from each other as I explained a bit further, They are both very central and both moved towards each other the past 10, 15 years. I wouldn't call the PVDA left or the VVD right at all. D66...

I have to say I didn't get taught religion in school and it is a handicap when arguing with religous people. It's good to know the main point of every religion and how to argue them, that what they should teach. I have the dilemma next year if I let my kids participate at the lessons in school or not.
