Re: Geert Wilders' party to win big in Holland

If the VVD is extreem right the PVDA is extreem left. (They are closer then they care to admit) The PVV from wilders is not close to the VVD but more near the CD a few years ago (confusingly CD stands for centrum democraten). D66 is really a proper center party and progresive (and green) in a lot of...

Re: Geert Wilders' party to win big in Holland

Oh please. She's right-wing in the same way as Muhammad Ali was a ballet dancer. Well, she was an elected representative of the VVD which, by Dutch standards, is a right-wing party (right-wing economically, like the PDs, rather than socially right-wing, like Christian Democrat parties across Europe...

Re: Geert Wilders' party to win big in Holland

Going back to the original purpose of this thread, but it is not a massive surprise, as countries often tend to vote for right leaning parties in recessionary times. The dutch vote for wilders because he is the only one to criticise the islam. It makes me sad to see he is the only one. It is not ne...

Re: Muslim Public Affairs Committee

You say you know the dutch situation and still you don't realise how bad it is. This is a prime example how threadning a religion can be and is. More people moved out of Holland then in for the last few years and believe you me it were most people with good pay that could move out that did because e...

Re: Muslim Public Affairs Committee

Yes, there's certainly more that can be done (on all sides) to facilitate integration, and there are particular problems around second and third generation immigrants. However, one approach that's not likely to make finding a solution to the various difficulties any smoother is making sweeping gene...

Re: Muslim Public Affairs Committee

Yep, its the same across europe. Anyone who criticises muslim immigration is not allowed on mainstream media. Geert Wilders and other members of the PVV are all over the Dutch media. Geert Wilders is a idiot. He is only in the news because the people force the media by voting on him. I wish we had ...

Re: Muslim Public Affairs Committee

One should note that nothing in the post above has anything to do with religion. I'd ask the poster to provide a source for his story about the '20 Muslim boys' on the bus but when it comes to posts like these (which are ten a penny across the internet), factual accuracy tends to take a back seat t...

Re: Are people confused on the definition of "atheist"?

They sound confused alright, I think I would have gone for none just out of principal that atheism is not a religion. I probaly would feel the need to bring this to attention of the makers of the survey.

Re: Should unfit people be prevented from pro-creating?

I'm not agreeing with criminals should be castrated. Just because the law doesn't for instance hasj, should somebdy selling that being castrated? Does a Dutch Coffeeshop owner need to be castrated? Besides that it implies that criminals are unfit parents. This is exactly why I did voted don't know. ...
