Post by lostexpectation » Mon Aug 13, 2007 11:47 am

Friday 17th- Sunday 19th August 2007, Carlingford, Co Louth

Speakers include:
Glenn Patterson, Novelist
Martin McLoone on Irish Cimema
Fergus Finlay, Irish Labour Party

The annual all Ireland summer school is held in conjunction with The Humanist Association of Ireland and the Belfast Humanist Group. The event is a chance for Humanists from all over Ireland to come together for great lectures and good company.

The 2007 conference aims to demonstrate that humanism is not just about science and reason but also about the human spirit in all its dimensions, including the good life, the imagination, emotions, art, literature, music – indeed all that contributes to the joy of living. We will try to show that humanism, far from being a cold, detached philosophy, has many positive, life-affirming values to offer.

Fees:
Saturday £20, Sunday £10, Both days £30, Dinner on Saturday £20.
