Patronage Survey Results

Postby dscanlon » Tue Apr 02, 2013 8:07 pm

The DoE has published the results of the recent survey on primary school patronage: http://www.education.ie/en/Publications ... ronage.pdf

In brief: 23 of the 38 regions included in the results show a viable need for a wider choice of patrons... woop! The primary Patron for each town will now be asked to come up with options to divest schools to allow for alternatives.

My own town of Malahide is the 23, anyone following my saga of trying to enrol my eldest for primary school this coming September will understand how happy this makes us feel! :)

This is such a positive step forward for equality in education in Ireland.
